The Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory is an American sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady and Steven Molano as principal executive producer.

This series has six seasons and against what most of the people in latinamerica think, actually the first one was released in 2007, six years ago.  

OPENING

This enjoyable show’s theme song was written and recorded by The Barenaked Ladies, an alternative rock band from Canada.  This theme describes the creation of the universe and the earth.

Leonard Hofstadter

An experimental physicist with an IQ of 173. He received his Ph.D. when he was 24 years old. He is originally from New Jersey. The straight man of the series.

Sheldon Cooper
Started graduate studies at 14, and earned a Ph.D. at 16. A theoretical physicist researching quantum mechanics and string theory, he has two master's degrees

Penny
She is a blonde who lives across the hall from Sheldon and Leonard. To pay the bills, she is a waitress and occasional bartender . She dated Leonard 

Howard Wolowitz
He works as an aerospace engineer. He is Jewish, and lives with his mother. Unlike Sheldon, Leonard, and Raj, Howard lacks a Ph.D. He defends this by pointing out that he has a master's degree in engineering from MIT 

Raj Koothrappali
Ph.D. – Originally from New Delhi, India, he works as a particle astrophysicist at Caltech.[43] His family is very wealthy. He communicates with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. V.M. Koothrappali, via webcam. He is very shy around women and is physically unable to talk to them

Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz

A young woman who is initially a waitress and co-worker of Penny's, paying her way through graduate school microbiology studies. Bernadette is introduced to Howard by Penny, when they find out that they both have overbearing mothers, they feel a connection. During season 3 they date and marry at the end of season 5

Amy Farrah Fowler
A woman Raj and Howard met on an online dating site after secretly setting up an account using Sheldon's name and information. Amy is more interested in social and romantic interaction. Once she and Sheldon meet, she becomes, as Sheldon puts it, a girl who is his friend, but not his "girlfriend"
