Game of Thrones

This is an amazing American epic fantasy television drama series created by HBO and directed by David Benioff and D.B Weiss.  It was filmed in Northern Ireland, Malta, Croatia, iceland and Morocco

This series explores issues of religion, war, sexuality, and hierarchy.  Although it has real life subjects it also covers fantasy themes like  power of dragons.  

It has 3 seasons up to now, but the fourth one will be ready for 2014.

 OPENING

This is the beautiful opening theme which is part of the soundtrack album for the first season.  It was composed by the German Composer Ramin Djawadi and published by Varèse Sarabande in 2011.

There are a lot of people who have uploaded their own version of this song and even Matt Groenning has used it in one of The Simpsons' episodes. You can click here to see the
